Improving and differentiating yourself as a creator online can feel like an uncharted maze.

Fortunately, you don’t have to recreate the wheel. You simply need to replicate, and then innovate.

How?

Start with learning from those who have already achieved the success you want.

This is where the concept of the "Tribe of Mentors," coined by Tim Ferris, becomes relevant.

It involves surrounding oneself with wise and accomplished individuals, gaining insights from them, and using their proven strategies to fuel personal growth.

The benefits of learning from legends?

1. Fast-Track Learning: Learn quickly from others’ successes and mistakes instead of going through the hard knocks yourself.

2. Better Connections: Hanging out with successful people introduces you to their networks, opening doors for your brand.

3. Raise Your Game: Seeing their dedication pushes you to up your own game.

Today I’m sharing a valuable tip that propelled my brand to new levels of engagement and growth on LinkedIn: I learned from the top creators on the platform.

The outcome? My following 4xed in just 10 months of 2023.

Here’s what happened

• Followers: Rocketed to 44,000+

• Email Subscribers: Shot up to 2900+

• Content Views: Skyrocketed to 10M+

How did this happen?

Let’s dive in:

1. The Double P.S Magic (Courtesy: Jasmin Ali):

   • Post a ‘P.S.’ extending points or asking a question.

   • Return a few hours later with another P.S. for further engagement.

   • Result? A thriving community interaction with comments soaring to 150-200+ on average.

2. Hub and Spoke Mastery (Courtesy: Justin Welsh):

   • The hub is your main content like a newsletter. Pull from your main content to create short-form content.

   • This system birthed a week's content comprising list posts, short-form posts, longer threads, and newsletter trailers.

3. • Drop hints about the newsletter in weekly posts ending with a "P.S."

   • Include a newsletter trailer to drive sign-ups.

     

4. • Offer a free resource solving a pressing problem.

   • Ask for shares, likes, or comments in return, using an app like Taplio for auto DMs.

     

5. • Reshare your day’s post after 6 hours to boost engagement.

     

TL/DR:

• Add a double P.S to your posts to increase engagement

• Use newsletters or youtube videos to create short-form content

• Drop hints about your newsletter in your P.S. to increase subscribers

• Create handraiser content that provides free resources

• Reshare your content 6 hours after posting to increase engagement
